Job description

  • Full time role - 37.5hrs Monday - Friday 8.30 am - 4.30 pm

  • $80k salary - Hamilton based

About the Company:

This organisation provides food and support to people an emergency, or financial need while providing unbiased support to anyone in need within the community.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operation and guide the future development of the Foodbank, while overseeing staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Annual marketing, budget and business plans
  • Prepare monthly board meetings and documents
  • Manage stock levels, coordinate parcels, and ensure food and safety requirements are met
  • Maintain and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage rosters and recruitment for volunteers

Key skills:

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Empathy and an ability to work with a diverse range of people in an inclusive and proactive way
  • Ability to lead, motivate, train & support volunteers
  • Experience of working in the voluntary sector and with public sector agencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
