The Role
The right person for this position will understand the ethic of hard work, fast service and have the attitude of getting stuck in and making it work. My client is a fine dining experience in an old school kitchen. There’s no one station, one task in this kitchen. The Sous Chef will be required to do dockets, manage all areas, line cook, prepare food and plate dishes. Food preparation is included along with mentoring and assisting junior chefs and the team. This Head Chef needs a Sous Chef who can lead, get stuck in and support him and manage all areas. They need to have a fundamental base when it comes to cooking as everything else can be trained. The Sous Chef will be upbeat, motivated, fast paced, a problem solver and a decision maker. They will be of strong mind and not take things to heart. This is a top restaurant with a huge reputation but it needs a Sous Chef to come and add strength to the team.
