Finance Manager

The organisation

You'll be working for a unique not-for-profit organisation who although have their head office in Wellington have regional teams across the country. This organisation acts as an advocate for creating a more sustainable future for New Zealand and it's employees are passionate about ensuring the best long-term interests of present, and future generations of New Zealanders.

The role

This short-term contract has arisen due to unforeseen circumstances and as a result, the organisation is seeking someone who is able to start on immediate notice. Working closely with the CEO and Senior Management team, with the support of a highly capable Finance Assistant, you will ultimately be responsible for running the organisation's finance function. This will encompass both financial and management accounting tasks including, but not exclusive to:

  • Financial reporting and collation of branch information
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintaining financial records
  • Ensuring tax obligations are met
  • Supporting with audit
  • Twice-monthly payroll for 8 people
  • Ad-hoc project support

What you need to succeed

In order to be consider for this role you must be available to start on immediate notice with the ability to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week. You'll be a confident user of Xero and will also have a strong knowledge of Zero Based Budgeting.
