Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected mechanical services business with a strong presence across commercial and industrial projects throughout New Zealand.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join the team in Mount Maunganui.

This position will suit someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities within existing accounts, and working closely with operational teams to ensure projects and service delivery run smoothly. The role offers a good balance of relationship management, business development, and commercial responsibility.

You will be responsible for managing key client relationships across a varied portfolio while supporting continued growth within the region.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and growing existing client accounts
  • Developing new business opportunities across the Bay of Plenty region
  • Working closely with project and service teams to ensure high-quality delivery
  • Preparing proposals, pricing, and client solutions
  • Maintaining strong industry relationships and identifying upcoming opportunities
To be successful, you will likely have:
  • Previous experience in account management, business development, or sales within mechanical services, HVAC, engineering, construction, or a related technical industry
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • A professional and proactive approach
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team
