The shift

Sole charge on your shift after the training period, thus a mature, responsible, can-do person is essential
You’ll be initially trained alongside an experienced Operator in a calm and supportive environment, ensuring you gain the confidence and competence needed to excel, this may take 2-3 months
Monday to Friday, training 1pm to 7pm for first 1-3 months, then 3pm to 7pm, but with expectation of rotation/other cover available up to 6 hours (company’s hours are currently 7am to 7pm)

Tasks

Monitoring alarm activity
Developing and maintaining solid relationships with clients, technical staff, contractors, and security personnel
Swift and accurate dispatching of security personnel and emergency services in response to alarm activations
Taking inbound and outbound calls with skill and efficiency
Executing various administrative duties that contribute to the smooth operation of services
Progressing towards an autonomous role once you have completed the unique training program

About you

Keen to learn and willing to commit to secure permanent part time shift work
Contact/ Call Centre industry or Administrative experience would be an advantage
Stability, a mature approach and a long-term outlook
Exceptional customer services with clear communication, calm under pressure, a ‘can-do’ and polite manner
Able to maintain confidentiality and strict operational protocols
A New Zealand Citizen or Resident
Able to pass a Police background check through the Ministry of Justice (traffic offences that don’t limit your ability to maintain a current drivers licence may not be an issue)
Able to pass a Credit check and two ‘employer’ reference checks
Own vehicle and full NZ Drivers Licence (due to limited public transport)
