Recruitment Coordinator – Medical Screening
 
Intro
  • Assist this emergency response organisation as a Recruitment Coordinator – Medical Screening within their Recruitment team and make a meaningful impact in community safety!
  • This vital role of medical screening of volunteers across New Zealand, ensures the safety and strength of our emergency services
  • If you excel at coordinating administrative processes, handling sensitive information with discretion, and have a passion for service and community wellbeing, AND have medical screening expereince, this is your chance to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation
 
Medical screening duties
  • Screening of comprehensive medical history and determining what further information is required and accessing that from medical providers
  • Making decisions on medical suitability for a range of volunteer roles
  • Liaising with applicants to clarify information
  • Phoning applicants and explaining reasons for decisions and pathways forward. 
Ideal candidate
  • Previous inhouse experience with candidate or patient records
  • Experience with medical screening/medical documentation protocols
  • Strong organizational/computer and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively wth one other team member in the same role, within a structured, process-driven setting
Nice to have
  • Interest in emergency services, volunteers, public service
  • Empathy and life experience
Offer
  • Based in Wellington CBD
  • 40 hours/week, with flexible start times eg 7.30am to 8.30am, office based (no WFH, possibly after 3 months)
  • Immediate start (or one-two weeks notice)
  • Assignment until end of September
  • The excellent hourly rate will depend upon the level of your experience
