About the role

My client is looking for someone to join their team as a technical specialist with a focus on height-safety equipment. Within the company, there are many sales verticals but you will be specialising in non-consumables. To be successful in this role you must have an understanding of height safety, and the ability to engage with customers such as health and safety managers, or experts in their fields. You will be selling to distributors and must be able to exceed sales targets and margins. You will need to have the drive for career progression as there is a high possibility you will move into National Sales Manager. There will be a lot to learn in this role so you will need either have a strong understanding already or be a quick learner.

  • Achieve agreed metrics for sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Keep up with market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities related to key accounts.
  • Work with customers and internal departments to identify trends, resolve problems, identify improvements, and implement change as required.

About you

A proven understanding of height safety is essential to be successful in this position. Someone who can deal with customers/clients and has an engaging personality is ideal. You must be eager to learn as you will be gaining a lot of knowledge over the first 6 months!

  • 2+ years' proven experience in Account Management/Business Development within FMCG or wholesale industries (PPE/PPC preferred)
  • Experience working with height-safety
  • Ability to engage with customers
  • An eagerness to learn and develop
  • Confident and articulate when dealing with people
  • Clear communication and negotiation skills
