Kinetic Recruitment Newsletter 2016

2016!
Happy New Year to you all! We hope you’ve had a fantastic Christmas and New Year break and settling back into reality wasn’t too difficult!
It is hard to believe we are almost into March! As we look at the year ahead there are some exciting prospects at Kinetic. The opening of our new Christchurch office and the expansion of our team.
Taking a look at the market the amount of jobs advertised on SEEK at the moment is over 20,000. The last time the numbers were this high was before the Global Financial Crisis, and the move from Australia to New Zealand now outweighs the move from New Zealand to Australia.
With this amount of roles advertised it makes a mockery of the theory of the “January Total Shutdown” and in fact proves that it is happening less as more New Zealand companies become global.
Ever Expanding Team
Kinetic has recently welcomed three new members to the team. James Terry and Katy Calder join the Auckland office and Susan Campbell has just opened up our new Christchurch office.
James has come on board as our Strategic Channel Manager and takes our ratio of females to males up a notch! James has an extensive background in Consulting, Business Development and has had numerous Management roles. We are loving having James in the office!
Katy has just started her recruitment journey with her past roles focusing on Customer Service. Katy is lovely and brings a fresh and willing attitude in to the business. We can’t wait to see where the recruitment road takes her!
Susan has an extensive background in Sales and actually used to work for Kinetic in the late 90’s/early 2000’s when Kinetic Auckland was established. Susan then moved out of Auckland continuing with Sales before leaving the workforce to have a family and returning back home to the South Island where she is currently establishing Kinetic Christchurch. It is great to have Susan back on board and we look forward to working alongside her.
Developments
We are very excited at Kinetic to announce the opening of our new Christchurch office.
The past couple of weeks have been very busy with travelling to the South Island to source a suitable premises and establish our new office. This is temporarily located just out of the CBD in Phillipstown. We will advise once we have secured a permanent location.
Kinetic Christchurch is going to be headed by Senior Consultant Susan Campbell who is currently getting the ball rolling alongside our Operations Manager Peta Dumergue. Check our website for our latest developments and roles available in Christchurch.
Here at Kinetic we pride ourselves on top service and are very excited that we can now comfortably assist in any region of the country. So please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any roles you are looking to recruit in the Canterbury region. We are always happy to help!

Last Tuesday the Kinetic team “seased” the day with some wipe out celebrations to wrap up a hard working and successful last few months. Starting the day with a lovely dry walk to the Hobson Wharf the team were greeted with big smiles, huge yellow rain coats and of course, life jackets, before “strategically” stepping foot onto the Auckland Jet Boat.
We boarded the speed demon that was equipped with two Chevrolet V8 motors where we were briefed on what was going to happen. As we were roaring into the open sea Julian the skipper announced much to the horror of the back row that they were in the wettest seats.
Making our way with a few spinouts en route we ended up at the Riverhead Tavern where we were treated to a delicious lunch and relaxing afternoon before racing down to the boat (for the best seats) to make our way back to the viaduct.
As promised by Julian we didn’t get too wet on the way to the Tavern, however it was a different story on our return. Unaware that the wind was actually going the opposite direction than earlier in the day made for a very eventful hour! By the time we got back to the wharf there was not a single dry person on the boat.
Needless to say we all had a swell time and the day overall was a resounding success.
