Claims and Collection Specialist
Overview

- As Claims & Collections Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in managing Motor Vehicle claims and debt portfolios, ensuring smooth recovery processes, and providing exceptional service to clients and external partners
- Reporting directly to the Claims Manager you will be joining a collaborative small team committed to professionalism and excellence in claims management

Key Tasks
Claims Administration
- Investigate accident circumstances to determine liability using information from branches and customers
- Communicate with customers, insurers, and third parties via phone, email, and mail
- Enter invoices and finalise jobs in Exo as required
- Maintain accurate records and strong communication internally and externally
- Liaise with third-party insurers to determine liability and recover costs
- Manage knock-for-knock (K4K) claims and uninsured claims with third parties
- Recover unpaid excesses from customers and escalate to collections if required
- Support the repair process: from quoting, purchase orders, and booking repairs, to invoicing
- Maintain positive supplier relationships and ensure clear and timely resolution of issues
- Review outstanding excess charges and unpaid repair costs
- Monitor time payers and follow up on all debtors before reaching 30+ days overdue
- Engage with debt collection agencies and provide reporting to management
- Support pricing integrity through supplier agreement reviews and invoice checks
- Will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a claims support role, collection’s role or similar - Motor Vehicle claims experience essential
- Experience in the insurance industry would be a plus
- Claims debt portfolio management and experience with debt collection agencies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, handling sensitive conversations professionally
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and internal claims or case management systems proficiency
- Full Drivers Licence
