Our client:

Our client is set in a leafy suburb just south of the central city, is an easy walk from a Train station, and has free parking onsite if you drive.

Maintenance Worker overview:

  • The general maintenance, repairs and other associated tasks with the operational nature of the organisation
  • This includes the maintenance of buildings, facilities and equipment, building of small items as and when required, supporting contractors and supporting events from a maintenance perspective
  • Essentially interest is in any type of qualification - but you need to have carpentry skills and also be willing to just get in and do odd jobs as well eg moving furniture, clearing up rubbish etc in addition to the duties below

Duties:

  • Join a friendly and committed Maintenance & Gardening team
  • Report to Operations Director and also work with another Maintenance Worker with carpentry skills etc
  • Repair and maintain Campus equipment and relevant property (building/houses)
  • These minor repairs relate to facilities, equipment, property and furniture
  • Tasks include carpentry, painting and general handyperson work
  • Workshop tools and equipment maintenance, keeping all clean and tidy
  • Swimming pool assistance eg testing, cleaning and general maintenance (along with external pool specialist contractors)
  • Some supervision duties relating to Contractors
  • Waste management (daily of bins)
  • Assist with set up of venues for events
  • Ensure Campus locked up at end of each day
  • Health & Safety
  • Implement and demonstrate compliance with child safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Conduct self in line with Schools values and behaviours eg respect and service
  • As well as the Buildings and Property team, you will be liaising with Contractors, staff and families

You:

  • Will have relevant handy person experience (commercial or contracting)
  • You may have a part trade background eg carpenter or plumber even
  • Will be a natural 'fix-it' person
  • Have an all-round ability to repair and maintain buildings, fixtures and fittings.
  • Be self-motivated, fit, friendly and able to work in a really great team culture
  • Able to use a computer

Offer:

  • Salary range neg $65-75,000 depending on skills and experience
  • 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
  • Fortnightly pay
  • There is also an unpaid lunch ½ hour where you are provided a full paid lunch from their onsite Cafeteria!
