Our client is seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Fabricator who is more than just a welder - this role requires strong end-to-end fabrication skills and the ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings.

This is a long-term, full-time permanent opportunity offering excellent pay and job stability.

About the Role This is a hands-on fabrication role producing high-quality custom sheetmetal components. You will take jobs from technical drawings right through to finished product, working closely with both the production team and clients to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate custom sheetmetal components from technical drawings
• Interpret and work independently from detailed drawings and specifications
• Prepare materials and apply fabrication principles including cutting, pressing, welding, and general machining
• Manufacture products to precise dimensions and required specifications
• Communicate with clients during production to verify drawings and requirements
• Coordinate with team members to complete jobs efficiently
• Conduct quality checks including dimensional accuracy, weld integrity, and general quality screening
• Maintain strict compliance with workshop Health & Safety procedures
• Attend site measures, dry-fits, and installations (preferred but not essential)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Tradesperson
• Strong fabrication capability — not just welding
• Ability to read and interpret drawings from start to finish
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Confident communicator who works well within a team
• Solid understanding of workshop health and safety standards
