Auckland | Full-Time | $38–$45 per hour
Kinetic Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and respected Sheetmetal fabrication business in Auckland. We are seeking an experienced Sheetmetal Tradesperson who is more than just a welder — this role requires strong fabrication skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings end to end.
About the Role
This is a hands-on fabrication role producing high-quality custom Sheetmetal components. You’ll be responsible for taking jobs from drawings through to finished product, working closely with the production team and clients to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

This is a hands-on fabrication role producing high-quality custom Sheetmetal components. You’ll be responsible for taking jobs from drawings through to finished product, working closely with the production team and clients to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom sheetmetal components from technical drawings
- Apply fabrication principles including cutting, pressing, welding, and general machining
- Interpret and work independently from detailed drawings and specifications
- Prepare materials and components for fabrication
- Communicate with clients during production to confirm drawings and requirements
- Complete quality checks including dimensional accuracy and weld integrity
- Follow all health and safety procedures when operating machinery and tools
- Site measures, dry-fits, and installations (preferred but not essential)
- Proven experience as a Sheetmetal Tradesperson
- More than just welding experience — you must be able to read and interpret drawings and fabricate from start to finish
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Confident communicator who works well within a team
- Solid understanding of workshop health and safety standards
- $38–$45 per hour, depending on experience
- 45-hour work week
- Christmas and public holiday shutdown
- Long-term, stable role with a reputable employer
