Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective psychological assessments and treatments to clients, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process of staff and contractors.
  • Develop and deliver education modules and participate in clinical seminars and case study sessions.
  • Offer psychology assessment and consulting services via Telehealth.
  • Ensure all clinical reports and referrer letters are completed within required timeframes and at an acceptable standard.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Therapists, and medical specialists.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staff education, and supervision of students as required.
  • Represent the organisation in the local community and build relationships with external stakeholders to promote services and initiatives.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Key Criteria:

  • A master's degree in psychology with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Strong background in clinical psychology with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills. High computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • A focus on providing excellence in customer service and promoting user-pays systems.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, maintaining accurate and accessible records.

Relationships:

  • Internal: Collaborate with clinic managers, regional managers, and other healthcare professionals within the organisation.
  • External: Engage with clients, families, insurers, ACC, third-party administrators, and external health professionals.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in psychology with a current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain a professional standard of service.
