This is both an exciting time to join our client and an exciting position, you will be given the chance to lead the team alongside the branch manager. The company is steadily growing and you will help decide the direction the team goes in over what is going to be an exciting future.

The role is fast paced, comes with responsibility and you will be kept busy, if you are looking for a fresh new challenge this could be ideal!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of all Freight staff members to create a positive and successful atmosphere
• Advise management of staff training and development requirements
• The Operations manager will have a close daily working relationship with Dispatchers across the South Island
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and suppliers
• Lead and manage a team for the day to day operations

The skills and experience you'll need to bring with you include

• Leadership skills
• Robust and problem solving attitude to resolve issues
• Ability to work alongside the branch manager successfully
• Transport & Logistics / Freight background
• Dispatch experience preferred
