We’re representing a long-standing and well-respected business in the sunny Bay that’s known for quality workmanship and a strong commitment to its people. With steady growth and a busy project pipeline across the Bay of Plenty, they’re now looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join the leadership team and continue strengthening their safety culture.
This is a key role that blends both strategy and hands-on involvement. You’ll be responsible for guiding health and safety initiatives across multiple sites, supporting managers and supervisors, and ensuring systems are not only compliant but genuinely effective in day-to-day operations. The role will involve:
- Leading and developing health and safety systems and procedures across the business
- Conducting site visits, audits, and risk assessments
- Supporting training, reporting, and incident investigations
- Working closely with leadership to drive continuous improvement
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within engineering, construction or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of NZ health and safety legislation
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with all levels of the business
