Job description

  • Monday-Friday, no weekends, 8.00am – 4.30pm
  • Receptionist role with leading private medical practice 
  • Epsom location, free onsite parking
Role overview
  • Our client is a respected private specialist healthcare provider offering advanced surgical services from a modern clinic in central Epsom.
  • The clinic is known for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across outpatient and diagnostic services.
  • You will be joining a collaborative administrative team that supports a group of specialist consultants/GP’s and ensures the smooth, day-to-day running of a busy clinical environment
  • This is a front-line role where professional, attention to detail and a warm, respectful manner are essential in maintaining the high standards expected of a leading private medical practice
Key responsibilities
  • Manage front-desk operations including greeting patients, processing payments, and booking appointments
  • Coordinate outpatient clinics and ensure all appointments, approvals, and patient communications are handled efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records including insurance details, consent forms, and updated contact information
  • Liaise with specialist and external providers to book diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Monitor and respond top emails, phone calls, and incoming referrals in a timely and professional manner
  • Keep the reception and waiting areas tidy and welcoming; ensure all patients are attended to promptly
  • Order stationery and supplies; arrange couriers and manage mail distributions 
You
  • Able to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in person and in writing
  • Genuinely patient-focused with a high level of service and care
  • High personal standards and self-motivation; works well independently and as part of a team
  • Able to manage time well and handle changing priorities and tasks
  • Collaborative and helpful attitude across the wide team
  • High standard of personal presentation – neat, tidy, and professional at all times
  • Experience with medical software’s/systems advantageous
