Job description

The Position

  • This is a very interesting surgical centre with a specialist focus where you will provide support to the Surgeons in the practice, and be part of a team environment where patient care and customer service is paramount
  • Mail/Emails and attend to phone calls re appointments and making bookings for new patients, surgery and post-operative care
  • You will also provide exceptional service to patients undergoing consultation and/or surgery, preparing clinics, ensuring patients are given all the required forms through to invoicing and collecting payments
  • Arranging operating lists with Hospital, Anaesthetists, Surgeons and Patients, ensuring supplies are ready for Dr's
  • Ensuring the patient is at ease at all times with the whole process
  • General secretarial tasks include patient file management, handing requests, scanning, occasional typing of clinic notes and operation notes (includes Dictaphone BUT mainly outsourced) - no Southern Cross (Practice Manager manages this)
  • Patient confidentiality and adhering to professional standards, and an empathetic, caring and calm manner as cancers are part of the patient caseload

You

  • Will have relevant medical administration experience to offer from a Medical Practice
  • Will have a mature approach and be a true team player,, accommodating and warm in your manner

  • Cross over training if needed to their specialist software is provided
  • A top salary range paid as an hourly rate, negotiable to match depth of experience
  • A 40 hour week with an 8.30am start, 5pm finish (occasional flexibility needed if a early or late Clinic, but time off in lieu) BUT possibly flexible number of hours /week for the right person if required
