As an Oncology Nurse, you'll play a vital role in delivering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive care treatments. You’ll ensure patients and whānau feel supported, informed and safe throughout their cancer journey — from assessment and administration to post-treatment care and education. You’ll work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, managing patient care with clinical excellence, compassion, and a deep understanding of oncology best practice.
This is a part-time opportunity requiring 24 hours a week working 8:30am-5pm Tuesday-Thursday.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed chemotherapy and immunotherapy according to approved protocols.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, side effects, and post-care support.
- Monitor for and manage adverse effects and complications, using advanced problem-solving.
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation.
- Support infection control, privacy, and safe medication administration procedures.
- Assist with patient triage and orientation, and collaborate with specialist teams as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- NZ Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- Recent experience in an oncology/haematology setting
- IV cannulation, phlebotomy, and CVC management competency
- Strong interpersonal, documentation and clinical communication skills
- Experience in a senior nursing, leadership, or clinical coaching role (preferred)
- Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols and advanced oncology practice
- Confident in using basic digital systems and patient management tools
