The role:

We are seeking a Quality Manager to join this companies amazing team sourcing and supplying the best quality ingredients world-wide. The business is undergoing a significant audit end of January 2024 and would ideally like the person to begin before then so they have time to settle in.

Some of the duties you will be required to do follow:

  • PIFS & Specification Forms - Liaising with suppliers to complete and update product information and specification forms.
  • Ensure our production meets the highest quality and regulatory standards, while taking into consideration customer compliance within the targeted timelines.
  • Food labelling & nutritional's - Understanding current food labelling laws, allergens, nutritional specifications for products both imported and made locally.
  • New Product development, working on new products with new suppliers. Effectively implement and manage quality systems (including procedures and processes) and support and guide on-going quality improvements.
  • Actively involved in audits and or risk assessments to ensure on-going reinforcement of risk management requirements.
  • NCR & CCR - Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding non-conformance and customers complaint reports.
  • Managing our quality program
  • Stock quality management
  • Undergoing QC testing, MSDS, PIF's and COA's
  • MPI registration and compliance
  • Managing QC assistants on a daily basis
  • Audits
  • Manage supplier certifications, HACCP and auditing systems within the food industry.

About you:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in QC testing, MSDS, PIF's and COA's
  • Tertiary qualification or have equivalent professional experience in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Science, Pharmacology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge or experience in HACCP, FSSC22000 or ISO22000, RMP an advantage
  • A can do and willing to learn attitude
  • Be a multi tasker with the ability to be proactive and show initiative
  • Achieve daily deadlines
  • Experience in QC testing, MSDS, PIF's and COA's
  • Being a team player is a must with the ability to work alone
  • Experience in the food industry
