Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Trainer/Assessor to join their high-performing training team. This is a great opportunity to combine your technical background with your passion for developing people and improving safety across infrastructure industries.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging, practical training and assessments across telecommunications, electricity supply, and infrastructure sectors.
- Coaching and mentoring candidates to achieve competency in their roles.
- Developing and updating training materials and assessments to meet NZQA and industry standards.
- Carrying out moderation, evaluation, and quality improvement processes.
- Liaising with clients, industry bodies, and internal teams to ensure training outcomes meet business needs.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ industry experience in telecommunications, electricity, or infrastructure.
- A recognised technical qualification (e.g. Electrical Trade, NZ Certificate in Electricity/Engineering, or Telecommunications).
- Assessor or Adult Education qualification (or working toward one).
- Confident communicator who relates well to all backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit, proactive, and comfortable working both in the classroom and field environments.
- Full NZ driver’s licence.
