My client is well-established and dominant within the Interiors/Flooring industry. They are in search of a proactive, professional, and highly skilled sales representative to enhance their sales team. About the role:
This dynamic role combines responsibilities in both retail and commercial sectors, involving the sale of high-end products to retail clients throughout the region and representing the product to interior designers, architects, and specifiers. While training is available for the commercial aspect of the role, your prior experience in selling to retailers is a valuable asset.

As the designated representative for the upper North Island, encompassing Auckland and North of Taupo, you will focus on cultivating relationships with both existing and potential clients, ranging from interior designers to architects and builders. Managing a portfolio of well-established and lucrative clients, you will also have the opportunity to leverage your industry connections to identify and pursue new business prospects. In all interactions, whether with longstanding clients or new opportunities, your sales approach will reflect a keen understanding of tact, efficiency, and authenticity.

The role will include:

  • Promoting a range of products to retailers, commercial specifiers & end users
  • Client and customer visits; tailoring products and services to customers' needs
  • Maintain and building new relationships, maximising growth opportunities
  • Providing recommendations, and offering sound advice on product
  • Selling and representing the benefits of each product and their USP's
  • General sales duties such as reporting, quoting etc.

About you:

  • Proven track record in a sales role; within the retail industry would be advantageous having worked in bathroom ware, kitchens, paint, or similar specifier industry
  • Articulate communicator who has a natural rapport with a range of people; authentic and relatable
  • Experience + passion for design and knowledge within the building/interiors industry
  • Able to work autonomously with excellent time management skills
  • A strong team player
  • An ability to think and look at the bigger picture
  • Excellently presented in both appearance and demeanour
