What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead on-site teams with effective coaching and hands-on involvement.
- Foster collaboration to ensure efficient, high-quality workflows.
- Coordinate with site managers and other trades to keep projects ahead of schedule.
- Deliver installations to design specifications, addressing issues proactively.
- Provide performance feedback and identify training needs.
- Conduct QA checks, sign-offs, and assist with inspections.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and uphold confidentiality.
- Champion safety by following all H&S protocols and promoting a safe work culture.
- Share your technical expertise and contribute to ongoing team development.
- Delivering high-quality work with minimal rework.
- Clear, proactive communication with clients and project stakeholders.
- Adherence to health and safety procedures with minimal incidents.
- Ongoing professional development and certification maintenance.
- Proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- 5+ years’ experience in the fire services industry.
- NZ Certificate Level 4 in Fixed Fire Protection Systems (Fire and Sprinklers).
- NZ Certificate Level 3 in Security (Foundation).
- In-depth knowledge of NZ fire protection standards.
- Strong ability to read and interpret designs, identify compliance issues, and lead teams.
- A clean, full Class 1 driver’s licence.
- Valid Site Safe card.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using business systems (e.g., SimPro, Uptick).
- Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and proactive planning abilities.
