Job description

Temporary Purchasing & Project Support Administrator – Engineering/Manufacturing

A global company in the industrial engineering and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Purchasing & Project Support Administrator to join their team on a temp to perm basis. This role supports a team of project engineers and plays a key part in the coordination of materials, work orders, and reporting. The current administrator is transitioning out of the role, and we are looking for someone to step in with a smooth handover and immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with procurement and purchasing for projects and general inventory
  • Raise and manage work orders, linking them to relevant project tasks
  • Record and track timesheets and labour tickets against jobs (non-payroll)
  • Maintain monthly reporting spreadsheets for key customers, including job-coded hours and purchase order coordination
  • Coordinate intercompany transactions and assist with travel bookings for project staff
  • Engage with suppliers and customers regarding materials and service requirements
  • Manage reception duties and front-desk coverage as needed
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous administration experience in an engineering, industrial, or manufacturing environment is highly advantageous
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and working knowledge of Word and Outlook
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable communicating with suppliers, internal teams, and external customers
Role Details:
  • $35 per hour | 40 hours
  • 3–4 days in office each week (East Auckland)
